Description

Happy Feet! Kindergarten - 2nd grade: Where would we be without our feet?! Walking, swimming, running and perching are just a few of the things animal feet do. We’ll explore dinosaur tracks and how geckos walk on the ceiling; make plaster casts of tracks and do a little dance. We’ll end with human feet in our moccasin exhibit to look up close at Native American footwear, and make some of your own to take home.

Art and Nature: 3rd - 5th grade: The natural world has been an inspiration for artists since the time of the earliest cave paintings and carvings 40,000 years ago. We’ll study petroglyphs and paint on stone with natural earth pigments. Carve an arctic animal out of soap and create a wearable work of art.

Each workshop meets for three hours from 9:00 am - noon at the CU Museum of Natural History on the CU-Boulder Campus. Healthy snacks will be provided.
