CONSTRUCTION ON BROADWAY

construction coneBroadway (Euclid-18th) Transportation Improvements Project

This Week:

  • On the evenings of Friday, Feb. 17, and Friday, Feb. 24, the contractor for the Broadway (Euclid-18th) Transportation Improvements Project will be performing night work in order to complete concrete pavement operations.

  • For the week of Monday, Feb. 20, Broadway, between 15th Street and 18th Street, will be narrowed to one lane of traffic in each direction, 24 hours a day.

  • Turns from 15th Street onto Broadway will be prohibited; turns from southbound Broadway onto 15th Street will be allowed.

  • 16th Street will be closed at Broadway.

  • The southbound, left turn lane from Broadway onto Euclid Avenue will be closed, 24 hours a day. This southbound, left turn access to the CU campus will be temporarily relocated to Broadway at 18th Street.

  • Parking will be prohibited where posted along Euclid Avenue on the CU campus.

  • The Broadway multi-use path will continue to be detoured around the work zones.

  • The pedestrian crossing at Broadway and 16th Street will be temporarily located to just north of its existing location, with a traffic signal in place.

  • The northbound Broadway transit stop, at Euclid Avenue, will be closed. Transit passengers may use the Broadway/Regent or Broadway/College Avenue transit stops, instead.

  • The southbound Broadway transit stop, at Euclid Avenue, will be relocated just south of where it was formerly located.

  • The westbound Euclid Avenue transit stop for the HOP will be closed. Transit passengers may use the HOP stop on College Avenue at 14th Street (CU Bookstore) or the new HOP stop on 18th Street at Broadway, instead.

  • This construction project will include improvements to the bicycle/pedestrian underpass at Broadway and 16th Street; additional transit amenities for, and expansion of, the transit stops; and multi-use path improvements.

  • Visit the Broadway (Euclid-18th) Transportation Improvements Project website.

  • Information: Noreen Walsh, Public Works, 303-441-3266.
