When is the Museum open?
The Museum is open Monday-Friday 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. - 4 p.m., and Sunday
10 a.m. - 4 p.m. The Museum is closed on all University holidays.

Is there an admission fee?
The Museum accepts donations. Suggested donations are:
- Adults $3
- Children 6-18 $1
- Seniors $1
- University of Colorado Students, faculty, staff, and children under 6 are free.

Where is the Museum located?
The Museum is located in Boulder on the University of Colorado campus
at 15th and Broadway. The Museum is west of the University Memorial
Center and directly south of the Mary Rippon Theater.

How do I get to or from the Museum from other campus locations?
You can use the University of Colorado-Boulder's Campus Map to find your way around campus.

Where is the best place to park?
- Euclid Auto Park
During the week, parking is available at the Euclid Auto Park (7:30am-5pm)
for $1.50 per hour. Evenings after 5pm and weekends are a flat fee of
$2.00. The Euclid Auto Park is located one block east of the Museum
on Euclid Avenue and 18th Street. Map.
- Residential Parking
It is possible to park in the residential area west
of Broadway. Parking in these areas is limited to two hours during the
week. There is no time limit during the weekend. There are also 2- and 4-hour metered spaces on the Hill, west of Broadway and north of the Museum. Map.
- CU Lot 208
CU Lot 208, immediately south of the Museum, is available
for $2.00 during evenings and weekends (exact change is required). Map.

Where is handicap parking located?
The closest public handicap parking is located in front of the University
Memorial Center on Euclid Avenue. These parking spaces are metered. A handicap placard will allow public parking in CU Lot 208 without a University parking permit after 5 p.m. and on weekends only. The cost is $3.00 (exact change is required).

Does the Museum have handicap access?
There is an access ramp at the Museum's north door. To access the ramp, enter through the west gate of the Mary Rippon Theater. Within the museum, an elevator is available for handicapped visitors to travel between floors. Map.

Are there any special exhibits for children
at the Museum?
All of the Museum's exhibitions are designed for children to explore and learn. The Paleontology Hall is a favorite of most children, in part because there are several hands-on objects in the gallery (not to mention the saber-toothed cats, complete Pteranodon skeleton, and Triceratops skull). The Discovery Corner is a special exhibit that has been designed for children of all ages to explore the natural world in unstructured and hands-on ways. Discovery Carts offer additional hands-on, self-guided activities for children.

Is there somewhere to change diapers at the Museum?
A changing station is located in the bathroom to the left of the stairs on the second floor.

Can I host a special event at the Museum?
The Paleontology Hall may be rented for receptions, parties, luncheons,

What are the benefits of Museum membership?

What type of items does the gift store carry?
The Museum gift store carries many reasonably priced items, including Native American jewelry, pottery and rugs, books, baskets, and children's toys. In addition to regularly carried items related to Colorado's natural and cultural history, a selection of books, toys, art, and other items related to current temporary exhibits are available.

Who receives a discount in the gift store?
Museum members receive a 10% discount. Museum staff and faculty also receive a gift store discount.
