The paleontology section of the University of Colorado Museum has focused on the Paleogene fossil record of the Rocky Mountain region, but we do have specimens that range throughout the Phanerozoic, originating from localities across the globe. Within the paleontology section are two divisions, Vertebrate Paleontology and Invertebrate Paleontology (which includes fossil plants). Vertebrate Paleontology has an outstanding collection of Cenozoic mammals.
