The paleontology section of the University of Colorado Museum of Natural History has focused on the Paleogene fossil record of the Rocky Mountain region, but we do have specimens that range throughout the Phanerozoic, originating from localities across the globe. Within the paleontology section are two divisions, Vertebrate Paleontology and Invertebrate Paleontology (which includes fossil plants). Invertebrate Paleontology now has over 300,000 catalogued fossil marine invertebrates, terrestrial invertebrates, and plants in the collection.
