The simple Greek community of Chaeroneia (Hair-o-ne-a) once thrived on the fertile banks of the Kephisos River. Recently, a University of Colorado team, lead by Professor Hara Tzavella-Evjen, conducted a systematic excavation of the village ruins. Within the reconstructed site lay stone and bone tools, human and animal ceramic figurines, curious clay toys and models, pottery and more. Each piece reveals part of the evolution of an emerging culture.Visit ancient Chaeroneia through photographs, illustrations, replicas and a condensed narrative based on Tzavella-Evjen’s findings.
