Gallery and School Activities for Object Conversations
We selected objects from our collections for the exhibit Object Conversations to delight, intrigue and inspire you. We then invited people from the arts to help start our conversations. Poets, writers, painters, composers, performance artists and others shared their reactions to the objects in the exhibit. We hope these voices inspire you to join the conversation.
The activities on this page were developed for you to further explore these objects and to start your own conversations with them and with other visitors. Join the conversations and share your ideas with other visitors, your family, your classmates.
The activities include observation guides, an exhibit project, a search paper, and a vocabulary list to supplement the activities. The guides and paper are designed for use in the museum exhibit with extensions ideally suited for the classroom or home, while the exhibit project is designed for the classroom or home.
