This is a fun activity for young and old alike. All you need is a caterpillar, a ventilated container, and the proper food for your caterpillar. If you are lucky, you will rear out a beautiful moth. Don't be too surprised or disappointed if you raise a fly or wasp instead. These parasites help keep moth populations from becoming too large. Use caution around spiny caterpillars; some can give you a painful poke. Check out these sites for more information on how to raise a caterpillar successfully.

Event Announcements:
If you like caterpillars, be sure to attend the lecture "Caterpillar Tricks" by Dr. David Wagner on June 10th at 7pm, and join us for the "Kid's Caterpillar Walk" on June 10th at both 10am and 11am.
