Themed programs focus on specific content and exhibits. These programs are designed as interactive and hands-on learning experiences where students use objects and inquiry to discover, wonder, and reflect.
For Grades PreK-2
Pots, Rocks, and Rugs: Discover the different materials, shapes, and objects used by Native Americans of the Four Corners area.
Dinosaur Discoveries: Discover different types of fossils through counting, identifying, and acting out movement.
Touching Nature: Colors, Numbers, and Shapes in the Natural World: Discover the different animals of Colorado using colors, numbers, and shapes.
For Grades 3-5
Early People of Colorado: Explore the life ways of the Ancestral Pueblo (Anasazi) of Mesa Verde and the Four Corners area including connections between the land and people.
Fossils: Evidence of the Past: Learn the distinguishing characteristics of dinosaurs and investigate different types of fossils and the information they can provide.
Colorado Wildlife: Suited for Survival: Develop skills of careful observation and identify and compare adaptations of various birds, mammals, reptiles, and insects of Colorado.
