The Education Section of the University of Colorado Museum of Natural History has resources aimed at supporting teachers. From Discovery Kit loans to Education Workshops, the Education Section helps educators bring the wonder of natural history to their classroom.

Threads of Time: Navajo Weaving
Teacher Professional Development Class

Wednesday evening, November 4, 2009 and Saturday, November 7, 2009.

Explore the exhibit Navajo Weaving: Diamonds, Dreams, Landscapes at the University of Colorado Museum of Natural History. Listen to inspiring stories about Navajo history and people through the experiences of H. Jackson Clark ll. Create interdisciplinary curriculum using the techniques, materials, and design elements of Navajo textiles. Card! Spin! Dye! & Weave!

Taught by Jill Graham with CU Museum Education and Anthropology staff.

This course is offered through the Colorado School of Mines Teacher Enhancement program. The cost is $90.00 (plus $35.00 for 0.5 credits).
