Teacher/Classroom Resources
The Education Section of the University of Colorado Museum of Natural History has many resources aimed at supporting teachers. From Discovery Kit loans to Educator Workshops, the Education Section helps educators bring the wonders of natural history to the classroom.
  • Discovery Kits - Portable kits for in-class use, which contain museum specimens, videos, books, and activities.
     
  • Natural Science Exploration Cases - Smaller than Discovery Kits, Exploration Cases contain hands-on museum objects, an annotated object list, and activity ideas that are easily adaptable to your studies.
     
  • Critter Cases - Mounted specimens of mammals and birds in protective cases for use in the classroom.
     
  • Workshops for Educators - A full day of exploration, information, discussion, and activities incorporating Museum exhibitions, objects, education theory, and practical applications.
     
  • University of Colorado Resources - The University of Colorado offers many opportunities for educational field trips and resources to support teachers in the classroom.
