Critter Cases

The University of Colorado Museum of Natural History loans mounted specimens of mammals and birds in protective cases for use in the classroom. The rental fee for Critter Cases is $2.00 per case, per week. Please call the Education Program office at 303-492-1666 or send an email to museumed@colorado.edu for more information or to schedule case rentals.

The specimens available are:

Mammals: Pocket Gopher, Muskrat, Prairie Dog, Mantled Ground Squirrel, Thirteen-Striped Ground Squirrel, Spotted Skunk
Birds: American Robin, Mountain Bluebird, Stellar's Jay, Burrowing Owl, Bohemian Waxwing, Western Meadowlark, Gambel's Quail, Green-Winged Teal, Mourning Dove, Yellow-Headed Blackbird, Red-Winged Blackbird and Tanager, Evening Grosbeak, Western Tanager
