The University of Colorado Museum of Natural History is an academic unit of the Graduate School at the University of Colorado - Boulder with a mission to contribute to knowledge of the natural world and the humanities through research, teaching, and public education. The Museum's collections number more than four million objects in anthropology/archaeology, botany, entomology, paleontology/osteology, and zoology.

The University of Colorado Museum offers a wide range of special events and educational programs throughout the year. The Museum and Field Studies Graduate Program offers students an opportunity to earn a Master of Science degree or a certificate in Museum Studies. The exhibition galleries are open to the public seven days a week, free of charge. Permanent exhibitions feature paleontology, zoology, anthropology, and the children's Discovery Corner. Three galleries offer changing exhibitions on a variety of topics ranging from meteorites to Tibetan culture to endangered species. A wide variety of K-12 and adult educational programs and activities (including lectures, family days, and guided tours) are scheduled throughout the year.

The Museum's gift store is stocked with items of interest to visitors of all ages. Please explore the Museum's web site to learn more about our volunteer program, our awards program and the Museum Advisory Board. We welcome your virtual visit and hope that you will visit the Museum soon.

Enjoy!
